Week 12

Social Newworking: As a client in the library, people already have access to social networking, many use facebook and Myspace, this is an area that is targeted mostly by the younger generation as a means to communicate with their friends both locally and worldwide. However many of older generation have started to become very involved with this new way of communication!.

Social networking is an online community of people that share the same interests or activities. Myspace and facebook are two social networks. You only need to see how popular they are. This can be a great way for people to keep in contact with many people at the same time. We can all spend lots of time and have fun participatinf in these social networks- Chris

Hello,

I've had a look at all your posts, and I'm satisfied that you have met the requirements for your annual assessments this year. Well done!

The point of this activity was to give CNRL staff exposure to some of these new online tools and to become familiar with the terminology. Some tools will be of more value to us as individuals than others, but that's okay! We'll probably never keep up-to-date with every single new piece of technology or web 2.0 application that's out there, but a course like this can kick-start our brains and help them become more flexible and better at learning new things.

Congratulations once again!!
